El 18 de octubre tuvimos el placer de recibir la visita de la delegación del Beijing Institute of Techonology formada por Dr. LI Zhenjian, Vicepresidente, Dr. TIAN Yubin，Decana de la Escuela De Matemáticas y Estadística, Dr. PENG Shaochun， Director del Centro de Análisis y Testeo, y Ms. JIANG Wangziwei， Project Coordinator de la Oficina de Asuntos Internacionales. Representando al GeM y a la EPES estuvieron presentes los profesore, Fernando San José, Coordinador del GeM, Carlos Castro, Jorge Urroz, Ana Soledad Meroño, Subdelegada De Movilidad del GeM-EPES-UPM, y como representante de la ETSIAAB el Subdirector Eutiquio Gallego.

Durante la reunión, se habló del GeM, del Máster en Matemáticas en el que está trabajando el claustro de profesores del GeM, del programa de doctorado IMEIO, y de los grupos y proyectos de investigación de los Departamentos de Matemáticas Aplicada de las distintas Escuelas de la UPM. Por su parte, la Doctora TIAN Yubin nos presentó su escuela, su programa académico, así como las distintas actividades de investigación en matemáticas desarrolladas por profesores de su escuela.

Esperamos que dicha reunión haya sido fructífera y podamos llegar a un acuerdo entre las dos escuelas para que nuestros estudiantes tengan el honor de visitar la Escuela de Matemáticas y Estadística del Beijing Institute of Techonology, así como, nosotros tengamos el placer de recibir a sus estudiantes.

On October 18, we had the pleasure of receiving the visit of the delegation of the Beijing Institute of Technology formed by Dr. LI Zhenjian, Vice President, Dr. TIAN Yubin，Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Dr. PENG Shaochun, Director of the Analysis and Testing Center, and Ms. JIANG Wangziwei, Project Coordinator of the International Affairs Office. Representing the GeM and the EPES, were present professors Fernando San José, GeM Coordinator, Carlos Castro, Jorge Urroz, Ana Soledad Meroño, Subdelegate of Mobility of the GeM-EPES-UPM, and representing the ETSIAAB was present the Deputy Director Eutiquio Gallego.

During the meeting, we talked about the GeM, the Master’s Degree in Mathematics on which the GeM faculty is working, the IMEIO doctoral program, and the research groups and projects of the Departments of Applied Mathematics of the different Schools of the UPM. For her part, Dr. TIAN Yubin introduced us to her school, its academic program, as well as the different research activities in mathematics developed by professor at her school.

We hope that this meeting has been fruitful, and that we will reach an agreement between the two schools so that our students have the honor of visiting the School of Mathematics and Statistics of the Beijing Institute of Technology, as well as, we have the pleasure of receiving their students. «
